Welcome to Candle Court Care Home
Candle Court is a home for residents living with the experience of dementia and who may have other associated mental health care needs. Most of our residents are aged over 65 years, although we are registered with the CQC to provide a home for people younger than this.
Candle court Care Home is a 93 bed care home situated in Cricklewood. The home was constructed in 1995 opening in the summer of 1996 and is a purpose built home. It is neatly situated away from the main road but still allows easy access to good transport links and the local shops.
Candle Court is predominantly made up of spacious single en-suite rooms, and there are also larger premium rooms. Each floor has its own separate lounge and dining area, both of which are very spacious. Each dining area has a small kitchenette within it so that refreshments are available at all times for the residents and visitors. There are three communal showers and communal bathrooms on each floor along with communal toilets. The corridors are spacious, allowing wheelchair users plenty of space to move about. The home has just completed a full refurbishment which saw the building decorated and a number of alterations take place, to improve the already high quality facilities for the residents.
The secure courtyard garden was also included in the refurbishment and has now been transformed into a fabulous sensory garden enabling dementia residents to wander through it, hearing and seeing stimulating sounds and sights in different areas. The centrepiece is a superb water feature which always attracts great interest.
A fully equipped in-house laundry ensures that residents benefit from a prompt service delivered on the premises.
Our team includes qualified nurses and care assistants, along with the housekeeping team who take care of cleaning and laundry services. Onsite maintenance ensures the home is kept to a high standard.
Our full time activities coordinator organises daily quizzes, hobbies and outings. We are more than happy to discuss any particular activities that residents would like to do. The home is situated a short walk from a selection of local shops and an activity enjoyed by a number of residents is a trip to the shops where they can buy their own items for their rooms.
